Life Story for Lawrence Covelli
Lawrence (Larry) Covelli, born on June 3, 1928 in Buffalo, New York, to the late Gelsomina and the late Filiberto, passed away at age 89 on May 9, 2018 in Los Angeles, California. Lawrence attended Lackawanna High School. Lawrence served in the Navy from 1946 to 1948 and he also worked in the Music industry as a jazz musician. Lawrence was the beloved husband of Caroline Covelli. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo Covelli, Eugene Covelli, and Elmer Covelli; and sisters, Gilda (Covelli) Vittorini and Adeline (Covelli) Andreozzi. Lawrence is survived by his sons, Thomas Covelli, David Covelli, and Lawrence Covelli; daughters, Carol Covelli-Roberts and Jelsomin Covelli-Grindle; grandchildren, Jelsa Rose Covelli, John Roberts, Matthew Covelli, Daniel Covelli, Timon Covelli, Shaun Grindle, Stephen Grindle, Michelle Grindle, Michael Covelli, Bryce Covelli, Kyle Covelli, and Adyana Covelli; and great-grandchildren, Brenden Blackmore, Baylee Bennet, Noadiah Grindle, and Teia Li Grindle. He had a passion for gardening. He was a lay minister at his church, and he was a member of the Musicians Union.
