Abel Casas

Abel Martinez Casas of Los Angeles, California passed away on March 22, 2021 of natural causes.He was born in Santa Barbara Chihuahua Mexico to Abel Salcido Casas and Maria Martinez Casas. He is one of 7 siblings. He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 years old where he started working and building his life. He later met our mother Alice Mae Roux. They married and had two children together Angelica and Abel. He also raised three children from our mothers previous marriage Robert , Wayne And Terri. He put his family first and was a hard working, dedicated, strong, loving and supportive father who built his own successful business refinishing furniture.
Then later went on to become a Security employee at Capitol Records for some years but then decided on bigger horizons and left Capitol Records to become a dedicated Security Officer for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power until he retired.
Abel enjoyed Native American artifacts and always felt a spiritual closeness to the culture.
Our Dad had the best singing voice, some would say he sang better that Vincente Fernandez. He was the best cook when it came to his special recipes and loved to entertain with family and friends at home or out on the town.
His favorite pass time was shopping with his grandchildren taking them to theme parks, circus, movies and fairs. He was the best Dad to his children while growing up and gave all of us the world.
He is survived by his two children Angelica Maria Casas and Abel Casas III and his grand children Alica,Devoney, Desi, Daniel and Makayla.
And his Five great grandchildren Christian, Amaya , Joseph, Jr and Louie.
We will forever remember the fond and loving memories of our father . We will miss his love and sence of humor and that great big unforgetable laugh and All the stories of his younger years growing up in Chihuahua which we will keep close to our hearts. Our Dad is now with his true love our mother Alice. Rejoice in Love Dad. We love you!
