On the evening of June 5th, 2016 at 6:30pm at the Greater Los Angeles VA hospital , Allen Joseph Jones made his final peace with this world. Allen spent 2 months in ICU surrounded by family as he fought complications from a respiratory infection. Allen was 54 yrs. old.

Allen spent his youth playing baseball, fishing, and lovingly taking care of his immediate family. At 18 he enlisted into the United States Air Force, and proudly served for 6 years, 3 of which were spent in the Philippines.
Once stateside he started his family and both of his children were born, he bought the first of 4 homes he would own. Allen worked as a courier for Federal Express where he eventually worked his way into executive management and lived in Vallejo and Middletown in Northern California.
Later in life he moved into real estate and quickly became a top producer in Ventura County, which allowed him to accomplish his dream of retiring before 50 and moved to St Thomas in the Virgin Islands. A lover of family, culture, art, the ocean, reading, walking and Jimmy Buffet; St Thomas truly was his paradise.
Allen loved all aspects of life. He loved traveling the world with his family, enhancing his home with landscaping and artwork, and spoiling the people in his life. He especially loved animals and had many in his lifetime; including a monkey and exotic birds, salt water fish tanks and many cats and dogs. However, his favorite was Toto, a wiener dog with a heart as big as his. He had a beautiful heart.
In his later years Allen lived in a great deal of pain, both physically and emotionally; These were trying times filled with worry for us as a family, and we are grateful and blessed that he is no longer suffering. A heartfelt thank you to any and all who showed him compassion or helped him in any way.
He will be forever be missed and loved. Our funny, loving arrogant, smart, generous, perseverant, selfish and selfless at the same time, smart-ass thoughtful Allen.
