Bertha Cortez

Bertha Cortez, beloved mother and cherished member of the community, passed away on February 1, 2024, in Torrence, California. She was born on July 6, 1946, in Michoacan, Mexico. Bertha's life will be celebrated with two special events. The first event is a Viewing that will take place on February 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Angeleno Valley Mortuary located at 5423 Tujunga Ave in Los Angeles, CA 91601. This event will provide an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and share memories of Bertha. The second event is a Mass which will be held on February 17, 2024, at St Josephs Catholic Church in Hawthorne, CA. The Mass will start at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM. The church is located at 11901 Acacia Ave in Hawthorne, CA 90250. During this Mass, prayers will be offered for the peaceful repose of Bertha's soul.
