Charles Wellington Ayres (Chuck to Everyone) 90, passed away at his home
in North Hollywood, California
He was born on 1924 in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles and Mary Ayres
In his childhood he enjoyed the outside life and wanted to be a Cowboy.
Proceeded in death by his first wife of 22 years, Sophie Ayres, and sisters, Juliann and Jean Kathleen.
He will be missed by his second wife Li Tsu Ayers of 32 years, his daughter, Pauline Ayres, his brother John, sisters, Dorothy, Edith, Alice, Henrietta, Margeretta and Josephine.
He served as a U.S. Marine during World War II. After the war he had a varied career life, including union master plaster and successfully ran an antique shop in North Hollywood as well as working in the Hollywood Entertainment Industry. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Chuck was well read and kept up with all events during his life.
Was very charitable to many organizations and his Catholic Church.
Loved his dog “Coco”
Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends during his life time.
Chuck had a very good sense of humor and was an extremely like-able Character; almost bigger than life in his dealing with people.
Enjoyed the Big Swing Band music of the 30’s and 40’s.
Loved to Ballroom dance, as well as enjoyed a variety of movies throughout the earlier part of his life.
But, his wife, family and friends meant more to him than anything.
