CLARK PITMAN OBITUARY
Our one-of-a-kind, loving brother Clark Pitman, Jr was born to Clark Pitman, Sr, and the late Marie Pitman on March 7, 1955, in Red Bank, New Jersey, and departed this life on Saturday, February 4, 2023. He passed peacefully at his home in California. Unfortunately, he had been sick for several years and finally succumbed to his illness.
Clark was dearly loved by many, but his love of music is what carried him through life. Clark was an amazing guitar player and a terrific chef. He began his musical career at a very young age with his brother James banging boxes and playing cardboard guitars. His father, Clark Sr., recognized the talent in his sons and bought them real instruments. In the 70s, After high school, Clark pursued music professionally and became a guitarist for the musical group Black Jade and Street People.
Although Clark took great pride in his love of food and music, his greatest love was for his son Clark Pitman, III, and his grandchildren. Some of Clark's other loves; are crab cookouts, family BBQs, and making fun of how his dad Clark Sr. danced. We will forever miss his famous dance routines.
As siblings go, Clark was a loving younger brother to Valerie Pitman, an annoying older brother to James Pitman, and an amazing older brother to Jacqui and the late Marvin Pitman.
Clark is survived by his father, Clark Pitman, Sr.; his son, Clark Pitman III; and his grandchildren, Diandre, Demetrius, and Daylin Pitman; his siblings, Valerie, James, and Jacqueline Pitman; his nephews, Shane and Shaun Pitman, Damian Robinson, James R. Pittman and his niece Shanae Humphrey. Clark also leaves a host of cousins and many friends who will miss and love him dearly. Rest in peace, and may your star shine over us along with Mom, Marvin, and other family members.
