THE CHILD IN EACH OF US
Maybe the child in each of us is the only thing worth saving.
Could all the rest be only so much unreality?
Maybe there still is something special way down inside of us yearning to be free and calling to each of us in a very soft voice.
What if the part of each of us that knew how to trust and to reach out with both hands as well as how to laugh with a whole body were still in tact and longing to be free?
I seem to remember a time when the most pleasurable thing in all the world was making faces and laughing with a friend until tears came streaming.
Could the kind of mirth ever come again? It must have been a good feeling.
Maybe the child in each of us is the only thing worth saving.
