Staff Sergeant, Eugene Charles Hardmon was born on a Tuesday, February 22, 1944 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to his loving parents Edna and Willie Hardmon. He was the eldest of eight children. As a young child Eugene was always very eager to learn new things he possessed a broad imagination along with exceptional skills of respect, self discipline, strength, courage and leadership skills. Perfect qualities for a first born son. His family and friends held a special place in his heart. In 1961 he went to proudly serve his country, and was promoted to Staff Sergeant while serving in the United States Army. At the same time he made sure his family back home was financially secure by contributing all of his hard earned wages to his family. In 1983 Staff Sergeant Eugene Charles Hardmon had honorably retired from the U.S Army and received many medals of honor and recognition. At the same time he gave himself to God and became a member of The Newlight Baptist Church in L.A. While home he served his family and friends, in the community he was known as a mentor. He enjoyed reading, writing, and most of all movies. On Monday December 4th, 2023 God called Eugene Charles Hardmon home, he will be greatly missed. He is Survived by his family and many friends and he will be remembered as a hero cherished forever.
