Lewis William Roberts III
Born on January 5, 1947 and raised in Fresno, CA
Died in Mission Hills, CA November 20, 2024
This ended his battle with dementia and brings peace back to him.
Graduate of Fresno High School, received his AA from Fresno State University, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with a minor in History from Montana State University. He spent 4 years serving our country in the United States Army.
Lew is survived by his children Lew Roberts IV and his wife Briana Marrah, Corrie Roberts, and Gioachino Ragosta, his wife Tara Ragosta, and their son Morgan Ragosta. Also survived by his former wife and friend Deborah Roberts. His sister Ida and Husband Matt Bentley, nephews Brayden and Jordan. Sister Candace and husband Ron Michalski, his brother Ernie Jackson. And Nephews Ernie, Oliver, nieces Jade and Sophie.
Lew was devoted to his job teaching at Alemany High School and later Harvard Westlake where he retired after over 30 plus years. He held dear a love of coaching wrestling, football, softball, and baseball. In his spare time (and anywhere music played), Lew would find himself dancing, though his favorite was in Zumba classes surrounded by others who danced and laughed with him.
We will remember him as a kind man, always looking out for others, but a simple man.
Please help us celebrate his life at a celebration of life On January 11th from 1-4 .
