"Ofelia Landin Torres was born and raised in her native Michoacán. A woman with a tireless work ethic, she loved the countryside and being in nature. She dedicated herself to her family and to her lands, which she farmed and harvested year after year while her body permitted. For many years she split her time in between her family in México and Los Angeles. She passed peacefully in her sleep on December 4th, far from her native México, but surrounded by family. Her body will be laid to rest in the rural hillside of Los Copales, Michoacán as she wished. Her six daughters, 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren will remember her lovingly and with great admiration.
You showed us a lot of love and understanding.
We are eternally grateful for all that you showed us and gave to us unconditionally. Your absence has left a great void in our hearts. If we had another lifetime, we would wish for you to be our mother again. "
